Boston Arts Academy is excited to announce that Constellation Energy is the official sponsor of the Boston Arts Academy 2012 Marathon Team!

Boston Arts Academy’s fifteen-person Boston Marathon team has been working hard to reach their goal of fundraising $100,000! Now, we are extremely excited to have the support and official sponsorship of Constellation Energy. Constellation Energy is chosen by over 5,000 businesses, municipalities and non-profits in New England, and two-thirds of Fortune 100 companies nationwide, to help them buy, manage, and use energy more efficiently.
Boston Arts Academy is excited to have Constellation Energy employees at our school wide Pep-Rally for our Marathon Team on Friday, March 23 at 12:30. Join us as our students cheer on our runners in the Back Bay Fens.
On Marathon Monday, make sure to keep an eye out for dedicated Constellation employees and friends, who will be energizing the Mile 8 Hydration Station!
About Boston Arts Academy
Founded in 1998, Boston Arts Academy is the city’s first and only high school for the visual and performing arts. Boston Arts Academy accepts students based on their passion for the arts, not the strength of their academic record (in fact, all students are accepted academically-blind). The faculty nurtures the artists, citizens and scholars of tomorrow, many of whom struggle in traditional school settings, have never had formal arts study, and 67% of which come from low-income homes. As a testament to the success of the school - an average of 94% of our graduates go on to college, many the first in their family to do so.
Your support will go to pay for Boston Arts Academy arts teachers, student support, literacy programs, arts adjuncts, art supplies and production costs not covered by public school district allocations. It will mean continued success - not only for over 400 students - but for a school that is becoming a national and international model of public school reform.

About the Boston Marathon® Charity Program
The Boston Marathon official charity program began in 1989. The program has grown to support 24 charities each year, which have raised more than $100 million for the worthwhile causes they support. The Boston Athletic Association gives each charity at least 15 waivers per year for a period for up to three years. These entries do not require a qualifying time but do require that runners acknowledge that they can complete a marathon within 6 hours and will abide by all other Boston Athletic Association rules and regulations. Boston Arts Academy is honored to be one of these select charities.
